PSHE
PSHE is taught in tutor and year groups throughout Years 7-11. The sessions are led by tutors and teachers but often involve a range of speakers from external services, which allow expert views and knowledge to be shared.
PSHE covers a wide range of topics from personal safety, relationships, health and well-being to future plans and aspirations. It gives students the chance to explore a broad range of issues and content in a secure environment and to acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to manage aspects of their lives. Much of PSHE is about having the knowledge to make informed choices, to ask questions and be responsible for their future decisions.
The topics covered in each year group are shown below. We follow a spiralised approach allowing for the development of some topic areas as pupils progress through the year groups.
