Students aged 11+ in September who live within the catchment area will normally be expected to attend Shaftesbury School. The school will admit to its intake year eligible students on demand up to at least the school’s Standard Number. The school will also admit other students whose parents have indicated a preference for attendance, provided that
- The standard number is not exceeded
- The school is appropriate and suitable
- Parents accept responsibility for daily travel arrangements and costs
- The wishes of the parents do not run counter to the Dorset Education Authority’s objective of providing an efficient education service and using its resources efficiently.
Parents wishing to arrange admission for their children at other times of the year than September should make an appointment through the school office to discuss admission procedures.
>> Please read through the relevant Admissions Policy here for your childs year of entry.
